DRY CARGO SHIP BROKING
With precise and up-to-date knowledge of the spot and time charter markets, we are able to successfully facilitate negotiations for our clients, ensuring both sides receive the best possible intelligence so as to assist in the decision-making process. In addition to providing our clients with 24-hour support, we employ a team of professionals who are experienced in guiding them through the whole process of pre-fixture, loading, discharging, and negotiating claims.
As a company, we are comprised of a global network of ship operators, ship owners, cargo owners, traders, brokers, financiers, as well as an in-house team of highly experienced and knowledgeable personnel. We work together as a team to provide deep insights on global coverage to our broad range of clients, which includes major charterers, operators, miners, end users as well as ship owners, regardless of the size of their fleets.
We are registered shipbrokers on the panel with most of the Indian public sector units involved in imports and exports of dry bulk commodities like coal, fertilizers, iron ore, iron ore pellets, and grains and enjoy excellent relations with industrial manufacturers, miners, and exporters.

Vessel Agents at Ports
This arm of our group operates under the name of Star freight ship consultants, which was formed in 1996. Under this banner, we handle dry bulk vessels of all sizes in all Indian ports. Over the past two decades, we have been longstanding agents for many ship owners with their vessels calling at Indian ports.
We handle both imports and exports vessel calls, working pro actively as an extension of the principal’s office with a sense of urgency and responsibility. With in-depth knowledge of charter parties and commodity trading clauses, backed by other commercial departments or agency departments, we are able to comprehend the needs and expectations of our principals.
Consultancy and Advisory Services
The company is proud to say that it is a leading consultant to new startups, charterers, upcoming traders, financiers, and factories that wish to participate in physical commodity trading on their own.
Our firm designs their sale and purchase contracts with charter parties strategically. As an expert in shipping law and with onboard personnel who are members of the Indian Council of Arbitration, our firm undertakes all due diligence in preparing all types of contracts.
Operations Desk
We have a dedicated operations team which works closely with our brokers to provide our clients with a cost-effective shipping solution. In the event that a fixture is concluded by our brokers, we will take over & oversee the voyage or time charter from the beginning to the end of the agreement. As a communication center, we facilitate the exchange of information between buyers and sellers, vessel owners and charterers. The office is accessible after hours, as well as on weekends and evenings.
In addition, we also serve as a third-party operations desk for small and medium-sized companies who outsource their operational maritime tasks to us.
